Entertainment
Apres ski is lively and there is a choice of 50 bars and restaurants in the town and on its slopes. For after dinner entertainment there is the La Nuit des Temps nightclub and a casino. Other attractions include: an artist’s studio, traditional pottery-making and some great local markets. The resort offers accommodation in a range of beautiful buildings from the baroque to the traditional mountain chalet.
Shopping
Due to the volume of visitors it receives, there are numerous shops in Saint-Gervais selling souvenirs and regional produce, there is also a jewellery store, perfumery and a number of fashion outlets. The nearby resort of Megeve contains several jewellers and designer clothing boutiques.
Extras
A range of non-ski activities are on offer in Saint-Gervais, including paragliding and mountain-walking. The Palais des Sports has an outdoor Olympic-size skating-rink, used for ice-skating and electric, ice bumper-cars. The Saint-Gervais horse-riding school is open all year round.
Beginners
There are a good choice of nursery slopes in the Evasion domaine - in Megeve at valley level and more snow sured ones at altitude on each of the main mountains. There are also plenty of very easy green runs to progress to - particularly in Combloux.
Intermediates
Good intermediates will enjoy the Evasion ski area. The black runs are perfectly manageable and the runs between Mont d'Arbois and Le Bettex are also interesting. The new link in La Giettaz is expected to mean access to steeper slopes there too. It is a great area for the less confident.

Snowboarders
The Mont Joux Snow Park, at the heart of the Evasion Mont Blanc Ski area is one of the top spots in the region. A superb half pipe, the French Snowboard Championships. original modules, music and animation. The Mont Joux also offers 4 varied slopes for your skiing pleasure, 2 slalom stadiums, and a mogul run. The Mont Joux snow park is accessible with both the Evasion and Saint Gervais ski passes.
Children as young as 3 can participate in ski school , and ski passes are free for children under 5 years old. For older children there is the St Gervais activity centre , where they can participate in games, camping, ice skating, rambles, swimming, snow sports and mini golf, or courses such as painting, sculpting, pottery and even a circus school.
